Now then. By the skin of my teeth (whose teeth have skin on them, btw?) I am about to fulfil my one blog a month quota. The word proliferation......does not come to mind.

So I'm just going to slap a whole slew of pictures up here now, hope ya don't mind. Might even add a blurb or two along the way! ;)

The age old Stettler pastime.

Dedicated to my Dad, my Grampa, and my brother. And all animal rights activists.

On August the 29th, three brave souls set out to do their part in the eradication of a most noble and tireless foe: the Prairie Dog, alias Gopher. This is their story.



Rated PG-13 for mild blood and violence. Viewer discretion is advised.

Now I know it would be easy to say, "Wow Cody, what a horrible shot you are!" But I would just ask that you kindly take in to consideration two facts. #1: This hunter is rusty. I doubt I've shot a gun more than 3 times in the last 3 years. #2: A couple days later we had to re-sight the gun in because it was shooting an inch high and a half-inch to the left from the target. Now that's a lot when hunting gophers.

Yet some of that same group of detractors might go on to say, "Cody, enough with the excuses. The fact is you're a horrible shot." To which I would mildly reply, "PTHBBBBBBBBBT!"

Oh and p.s. to Carolyn. Should you ever happen to see this, I just want to reassure you that this was far more humane than a golf ball ever could be.
